Do you want smoother, tighter skin with no surgery, no injections and minimal downtime? Thermage may be the answer. Dr. Mendis of Mendis Aesthetics and Surgery tells you more about his unique, non-invasive skin treatment.

What is Thermage?

Thermage is a clinically proven, non-invasive therapy that uses a unique patented radio frequency (RF) technology to remodel collagen and stimulate the body’s natural renewal process. Your skin is rejuvenated. Lines and wrinkles are smoothened, and facial contours become more defined.

What are the benefits of Thermage?

Thermage is an excellent skin rejuvenation option for busy executives, since there is no downtime and one treatment lasts over a year.

You will also see your skin continue to improve up to six months after a session. As your body continues to regenerate collagen, your skin will become even tighter and younger-looking.

What can Thermage treat?

  • The eyes. Thermage can address excess skin on the upper eyelid, crow’s feet, and sagging of the skin around the eyes. As the wrinkles and fine lines become less prominent and the skin tightens and smoothens, your eyes will look lifted.
  • The face. You can also have Thermage on your whole face to help restore definition along the jawline, make lips look fuller, and reduce wrinkles and fine lines on the mouth, forehead and eyes. This kind of session will take around 45 minutes.
  • The body. Thermage can help renew your body’s collagen levels to firm and lift sagging skin and bulges. It can also be used to remove loose skin on the arms, and treat wrinkles or folds on the hands and knees. Thermage is not a fat reduction treatment, but it can firm the skin after pregnancy or weight loss.

Is Thermage painful?

Anaesthetic cream is applied prior to the treatment, therefore it is normal to feel a bit of heat during the procedure, but overall it is still tolerable.

Is Thermage safe?

It has been cleared by the FDA, and has been used safely and effectively on thousands of patients around the world in the last 10 years. Negative reactions are rare. However, everyone’s health is unique. In your first session with Mendis Aesthetics, you will be asked about your medical history, and informed about potential side effects and risks given your age and pre-existing health conditions.
