Teeth Whitening Kits
Did you know your teeth also has pores? Highly pigmented food and drinks (like tea, coffee, wine, soy sauce and tomato sauce) clog up those pores and cause stains. The longer they stay there, the harder they are to remove.
Teeth whitening kits quickly removes stains from the comfort of your home. Unlike regular whitening toothpastes, they can remove old, embedded stains. They’re also one of the fastest, most convenient ways to make your teeth look whiter.

You’ve heard of electric toothbrushes, but sonic toothbrushes take it a step further. They emit sonic waves that break up even hard-to-reach plaque cells that bristles can’t reach. They’re also one of the best tooth brushes for people with deep spaces between teeth or receding gums, which makes it harder to floss.
Is it comfortable? Some people say that it’s gentler than electric toothbrushes, which can wear down enamel or feel even painful if you have sensitive teeth. However, the sonic waves do feel different than ordinary toothbrushes. Give yourself a few days to get used to it, and always start with the softest and gentlest brush. (You can always switch the brush head when you’re already comfortable with it.)
Use the right mouthwash
Emanuel Layliev, D.D.S. – celebrity dentist and director of the New York Center for Cosmetic Dentistry – says that “Anything that can stain a shirt can stain your teeth.” That includes mouthwashes that have blue or green dyes – especially if they have a high alcohol contain. Alcohol dries out your teeth, which make them more prone to discoloration.
Brush or gargle right away
Don’t allow pigmented food or drinks to “sit” on your teeth. Right after drinking tea, coffee or wine, drink water and quickly rinse your mouth with water. It won’t completely prevent staining, but it will minimize the pigment that’s left on your teeth.
Use a straw
One neat trick for getting your coffee fix without staining your teeth: use a straw. Do this for sodas and tea, too. You can use reusable metal straws (more environmentally-friendly).
Use a blue-based lipstick
Lipsticks with a blue undertone can make your teeth look whiter and brighter. Read our article on 7 lipsticks that make your teeth look whiter.
See a dentist regularly
Deep cleaning or prophylaxis can get rid of plaque — which makes teeth look more yellow – and help prevent cavities and other tooth and gum diseases. Prevention is always less painful and less expensive than a cure!
