Argentum Apothecary was founded by Joy Isaacs who was born and raised in South Africa. Her mother used to use colloidal silver spray to treat burns, scratches, grazes and to prevent infection. Her mother also used it to treat acne which would keep the skin clear and Elemis free. 

When Joy had a family of her own, she continued using her mother’s remedy. In her line of skincare, Argentum Apothecary, she uses two natural ingredients which are DNA HP and silver hydrosol, which is known for their rejuvenating and anti-ageing properties. She also aired those with other organic and garden-grown natural ingredients.
