Burt’s Bees

Burt’s Bees was founded in the 1980’s, when co-founder Roxanne Quimby made candles from the leftover beeswax from Burt Shavitz, which sooner led to these two co-founders to bottle and sell honey. Over time, other products using honey and beeswax, like furniture polish and edible spreads starting selling, before they ventured into the personal care line.

When producing their skincare line, Burt’s Bees strives for 100% natural originated formulas, and their products being 95% of natural origin. Burt’s Bee’s skincare products are produced without petroleum, phthalates, parabens, sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) and other added chemicals.

Not only that, Burt’s Bees products are not tested on animals. Also, being a CarbonNeutral certified, Burt’s Bees practices responsible sourcing, in which they support the communities and environments where their ingredients are sourced from, and most importantly, all of Burt’s Bees skincare packagings are recyclable curtsied or through TerraCycle.
