L’Oreal, today, is also considered are the leader in beauty improvement worldwide spanning its reach into 130 countries all throughout the world. The cosmetic brand always lived up to it mission. They aim “to provide the best in cosmetics innovation to women and men around the world with respect for their diversity.”

L’Oreal produced products focusing on hair colour, skin care, make-up, perfume and hair care. The Cosmetics company is also active in dermatology, tissue engineering, and biopharmaceutical research fields. In the United States, L’oreal holds the top place in the nanotechnology patent-holder record.

L’Oreal is against animal testing. Following pursuit of being animal friendly but still producing safe and effective products, Episkin was birthed. It is a reconstructed skin model developed by engineers at L’Oréal France to provide alternatives to animal testing. Episkin is made from human skin cells that are left over from breast surgeries. It is developed under in vitro laboratory conditions to form sheets of reconstructed skin.

Being a big name not just in the beauty industry but also to the scientific industry, L’Oreal came up with a new sustainability plan in 2013. That has the goals of reaching 1 billion new consumers supporting products with less environmental impact by 2020 helping nature renew and regenerate itself.
