ORBIS was founded by POLA, a Japanese cosmetics brand, in 1987.

During this time, it was a popular belief that oil was an alternative for retaining skin moisture. ORBIS discovered that in fact water, not oil, is really what our skin needs to achieve supple, healthy, and hydrated skin.

After the discovery that oil oxidation actually causes further skin problems, ORBIS released their first oil-free skincare series, formulated by technology focusing on the moisturization of skin in an “all-water environment”.

ORBIS has since then expanded their range of products, and has established their presence to other countries as well, such as: Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and Singapore.
