The Big Blow was established by Ellie Sakrzewski,, who has been in the fashion and beauty business for over 25 years and loves a perfect blowout, decided Singapore definitely had a gap in the market. Before becoming a mother to son Otto, Ellie had a successful career as a makeup Artist and hairstylist from London and Paris to Sydney and Tokyo.

She has worked with some of the biggest names in the fashion and music world such as Alexander McQueen, Issey Miyake and David Bowie. Her works have appeared in Vogue, Marie Claire, ELLE, Harpers Bazaar and Cosmopolitan and she worked closely with Mr. Shu Uemura while living in Tokyo before coming to Singapore in 2001.
