Estée Lauder Singapore launches a limited-edition collection in celebration of Chinese Valentine’s Day which is also known as the Qixi Festival. This year, the festival falls on the 25th of August.

The Chinese Valentine’s Day originated from a 2000-year-old legend of two lovers who are Niulang and Zhinu. One was a cowherd and the other was a weaver fairy. Due to the circumstances that their love was not blessed by the gods, they were sent to opposite sides of the Silver River, which symbolises the Milky Way.

Hence, these two lovers would only reunite every once a year when a flock of magpies formed a bridge across the river on the 7th day of the 7th Lunar month.

Due to that, and inspired by this absolutely romantic love story of Niulang and Zhinu, this limited-edition collection incorporates the two lovers reuniting on the packaging. Also, it compromises of 3 different Pure Colour Envy Sculpting Lipstick in shades of Carnal 520, Slow Burn 130 and Emotional 140.
