5 Simple Exercises For Sculpted Neck 

1. The Swan Neck

Okay, this facial exercise is suitable for you beginners! To start, make sure your head is in a stable position. Make sure not to put too much pressure on your shoulder, relax your muscles. Then, look straight ahead, aligning your chin level—not looking too high or too down. Slowly bring your head to the right side of your shoulder and then gently tilt your head backwards. Breathe in for about 8 seconds and exhale slowly. Return your head to the centre position and repeat the same steps to your left side. 

This Swan Neck exercise is perfect for toning and strengthening your neck muscles. As well as destress the tensions on your shoulders. If you find yourself feeling a bit stressed out with work throughout the day, this exercise will help you get through any obstacles!

2. The Giraffe

As mentioned before, ‘’The Giraffe’’ facial exercise is a famous facial yoga technique to elongate your neck—also known as giving the illusions to make your neck appear longer. This exercise is very simple to practice as well. It doesn’t consume too much of your energy or time. To perform, make sure your head is in a stable position. Looking straight ahead, gently put your fingers on top of your neck, (please do not choke yourself), maintain a steady breathing and relax the muscles around your shoulders. 

Then, very slowly stretch out the neck and bring it back forward. Repeat this as much as you feel comfortable. Before closing off, pucker your lower lip out as stretchy as it can get, place your fingers on your collarbone and bring your chin upwards, as if you’re looking up, then gently pull down the corners of your mouth. This exercise will immediately help you get rid of any double chin problems and overall tighten your neck muscles.

3. The ‘’Kiss The Ceiling’’ 

Another effective exercise to get rid of your turkey neck problem is to perform the ‘’kiss the ceiling’’ facial yoga. If you’re into yoga and meditation, you’ll be familiar with this movement. It is often inserted into the downward dog position. If you’re one of those who spent too much time sitting in front of the computer, you are advised to spend a few minutes doing these exercises. How to begin? Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. 

Like any other facial exercise, the first key is to relax and maintain your shoulder and head position. Slowly, (please don’t rush), bring your chin upwards towards the ceiling until you feel a good stretch or a slight wrest on your upper neck area. Then gently kiss the air up in the ceiling. If you need a further stretch, stick your tongue out. This will help, too. Hold still for about 3 to 5 seconds and release. Repeat the steps until you feel more refreshed and untensed. You can do this literally anywhere, anytime. The more you do this exercise, the more it will help sculpt your neck.

4. The Sideways Kiss

Opp, another ‘’kissy face’’ exercise here. But hey, making out has proven to help reduce calories so we really aren’t surprised. Anyhow, for this unique facial exercise, the results not only can help reduce the appearance of a double chin or saggy neck, but to get rid of the ‘’bulldog’’ face along your jawline. To remove your problems, suck your cheek from the inside. Confused? Okay, like this: remember when you were taught to ‘’suck’’ your cheek to find your cheekbone to apply the contour? Yeap, this is the exercise, but instead you will need to maintain the ‘’sucking’’ while shaping your mouth into a kissy-face. Some sort of a sideways kissy-face. 

Hold for about seven to ten seconds for more effective results. Careful though, it may result in a tired cheek. Make sure you rest for a few seconds before repeating. This exercise is perfect for your skin elasticity! Goodbye saggy and tired looking face.

5. The Lie On The Bed 

Okay, probably one of the easiest exercises you could ever do. You will love how convenient this facial yoga is. All you need to do is lay on your back with your head hanging over the edge of your bed. Careful not to mess with the weight of your neck. After a few seconds, lift your head up, as high as you can using your neck muscles, again please be careful with the weight of your neck. One wrong step might cause neck dislocation, and we don’t want that. 

The technique is the same as push-ups but instead of using your abdominal muscles , you’re using your neck muscles. You can repeat these moves as much as you feel comfortable. Make sure you’re not over pressuring your muscles.
