If you haven’t already noticed, eyebrows play such a huge role in shaping our faces. And as Asians, we’re not often blessed with thick eyebrows, which can make our faces appear wider. Overall, we look a little unbalanced without eyebrows. But lucky for us, there are many solutions to this. You can either opt to draw on your eyebrows every day with an eyebrow pencil or choose a more long-lasting option.

The latter is what HDBrowSet specialises in, also known as microblading. They offer an extensive menu when it comes to the type of microblading, from a more natural look to something more defined. As the winner of the Best Microblading Brow Embroidery in our recent Beauty Insider’s Readers’ Choice Award 2023, we’re here to share everything you’ll want to know about HDBrowSet.

HDBrowSet is renowned for transforming untamed brows into perfectly arched and defined silhouettes. They offer a few choices, including the HDBrowDefine, HDBrowPowder Shadow and our personal favourite, the HDBrowDefine + Shadow. Using only the finest products alongside a high level of precision, every treatment is gentle on the client but strong in skill.

Types Of Microblading Styles

Before we talk about the award-winning HDBrowDefine + Shadow, let’s touch on the difference between HDBrowDefine and HDBrowPowder Shadow. Clients who prefer a more natural look to their eyebrows can opt for the HDBrowDefine as it uses a microblading technique to mimic natural hair growth. The therapist adds thin hairlines to fill up any empty spaces you may have. This helps to create a fuller and more defined eyebrow while still maintaining its overall natural look.

On the other hand, the HDBrowPowder Shadow involves an ombré shading technique used to achieve a naturally drawn and filled-in look. This is ideal if you like the perfectly drawn eyebrow look on a daily basis as this can also save you time while you’re getting ready.

However, the salon also offers another option known as the HDBrowDefine + Shadow, which uses a combination of both techniques. So you have the natural hair-like technique mixed with the ombré shading technique to achieve fuller and more perfect-looking brows. The salon highly recommends this to individuals with oily skin, sparse hair, or those who would like to cover up previous work.

Now let’s get into the details of the HDBrowDefine + Shadow option offered by HDBrowSet. This particular option is highly recommended for clients with oily or combination skin types to ensure it lasts longer. However, those with sparse or asymmetrical growing hair may also opt for this to achieve an illusion of fuller brows. The HDBrowDefine + Shadow provides a more dramatic and noticeable enhancement, creating a natural-looking brow that appears full and lush.

If you’re curious about the procedure and whether it will hurt, we’re here to assure you that it won’t. As numbing cream is usually applied before the procedure, you typically won’t feel pain at all.

Furthermore, it’s also good to note that microblading is a semi-permanent treatment. Microblading is a two-step process in which clients are highly recommended to come back for a touch up session within 3 months after the first session to perfect the brows shape and strokes. It may appear slightly dark right after the treatment but will heal into a more natural-looking colour in about a week’s time. However, this also means that it will eventually fade off in a few years, which is why it’s recommended that you get a touch-up every 1 to 1.5 years. This helps to maintain the shape, colour and details of the microbladed hairs on your eyebrows.

Fret not though, because touch-up sessions can also be found at HDBrowSet. Prices vary depending on how long you take to come back for the touch-up, from as soon as three months to as long as 1.5 years. The sooner you come back for a touch-up, the cheaper it is compared to the longer time span. This is usually because it takes more time and product to touch up eyebrows that have faded for a longer time.
