Back in the days, finding hijab-friendly salons was like finding a needle in a haystack. It’s damn hard. Understand that us Muslim hijabi sister has a lot to bargain. We aren’t really quite comfortable exposing our hair around in public, especially in a place where both women and men are massed. But thank God the world is evolving now and it is more common for certain countries to set up a hijab or women only concept salons.
In Malaysia, you could literally walk around your neighbourhood to stumble upon one, but in Singapore, it can be quite a hustle. But worry not, Beauty Insider managed to find gems in bubbles—as there are few salons available that are catered truthfully to Muslim sisters, in accomodating pivate rooms, ladies only servicing and using only Halal certified hair products, too. After all, no one needs a good scalp massage more than we do!

At Be Choo, there are two different areas available. For private servicing, you can request beforehand while booking the appointment. They will take you to a room where a curtain is installed and you’ll be far away from the eye of the public. What’s best, they only use the best herbal, vegan and natural ingredients products.
