HIKO Nose Lifting lets you design the nose of your dreams. HIKO comes from the word “Hi” in Korean meaning “High” and “Ko” meaning “Nose”. Therefore, the term “Hiko” literally means “to lift the nose”. HIKO Nose Lifting allows you to design the shape and profile of the nose that is most suitable for you. We find out more from Dr Needle at E Medical Centre.

WHAT IS HIKO NOSE LIFTING?

HIKO Nose Lifting is a minimally invasive solution to enhance your appearance to a perfect dimension. It is an advanced technology where fine absorbable threads called polydioxanone (PDO) are used to gently lift the nose to a desired level.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIKO, RHINOPLASTY NOSE SURGERY AND NOSE FILLERS?

Everyone wants to have the best of both worlds. When you go under the knife for rhinoplasty, you suffer tremendous pain and swelling after the surgery, yet cannot be sure of how your nose will turn out as you are put to sleep. During the HIKO nose lifting, you are able to see how we design the shape and the profile of your nose because you are conscious the whole time. This procedure also lasts longer compared to fillers, and it does not “spread” like dermal fillers. We all want a sharper nose bridge, not a broad nose bridge. HIKO will give you a sharp and straight nose bridge.

HOW IS THE PROCEDURE DONE?

During the procedure, the PDO threads anchor to periosteum or fibrous membrane to gather the underlying tissues and secure them in the desired position. After the thread dissolves, not only does the holding effect remains, but the natural collagen production is also stimulated. HIKO Nose Lifting takes only about 30 minutes and can be performed under local anesthesia on a specific spot. It’s a minimally invasive option that could add natural dimension to your face and bring your nose to its perfection. Patients can go back to work after the treatment since there is none or minimal bruising.

HOW LONG IS THE PROCEDURE?

The entire procedure takes about 45 minutes.

AM I A SUITABLE CANDIDATE?

The procedure is suitable for anyone who has not gone for rhinoplasty. Even for those who have fillers injected previously but dislike their broadened nose.

HOW LONG CAN IT LAST?

The results usually last for 1-2 years depending on individual. Repeated treatments will achieve better results.

IS IT PAINFUL?

Anesthetic cream is applied on the treatment area prior to the procedure. A local anesthesia (LA) will be given as well. After the LA, you will feel almost nothing.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?

There is minimal downtime. Some of the patients may encounter bruising or slight swelling. Most of our patients go back to work the next day after the procedure or even right after the procedure.
