Split ends, dry hair and drabby mane are one of the most annoying problems us women often face. I’m not sure why, but women tend to deal with split ends more harshly than any dudes out there with long hairs. So unfair. But to be honest, I think some of you would’ve probably managed to guess the reason as to why 80% of women are mostly likely to suffer with hair shredding, dried hair and split ends compared to men with longer hair. Two words o confirmed: hair tools.

Yes, because us women are prone to style our hair with a hairdryer, hair straightener, hair curls and the list goes on. All of these heating tools were the sole reason why our hair was prone to damage, twice as fast as men. All of these situations made us embarrassed to even borrow anyone’s comb, let alone brush our mane when someone is around. Like, what’s happening to us? I once suffered from a very bad split end, and when I say bad, it was very very very bad. And no matter how many times I paid my visit to the hair salon, to chop the split ends or fix the state of my hair, it ended up returning to the old state. Seriously, how freaking annoying? That doesn’t involve the over-expensive hair products like shampoo or hair conditioner that I had to spend on.

So, just as I almost wanted to give up, I stumbled across a very interesting story about how a professional hair stylist manages to get rid, prevent or at least hide the split ends problem of her clients away from the eye of the public. I wow me more than Angelina Jolie’s rare red carpet appearance, though. So, scroll further to read the tea. Just at Beauty Insider

How To Get Rid Of Split Ends?

First, the frequently asked questions, which is, ‘’How do I stop myself from getting split ends?’’. To be honest, not a single woman on this planet managed to get through this problem, or at least faced with this problem once in their lifetime. How can we not? With the amount of harsh chemicals we pour into our scalp and hair strands, the endless heating tools. It is expected to face this common problem. So how do one get rid of this once and for all? Of course, by cutting them off completely. The easiest and fastest solution. Point blank period. You could either trim the damaged part of your hair or, if you’re brave enough for some changes, cut your hair short off completely. However, there’s another trick that you might consider which is the ‘’invisible cut’’. Invisible hair cut doesn’t necessarily have to cut your hair short completely, it’s just a way where you clean off the split ends part, making a way for a new and healthier hair to grow. If you’re too lazy to go to the salon, you can do so easily at home. First, section your hair gently at the bottom part, then slowly run your fingers up the hair shaft to expose the split ends. The split ends are easy to detect. Those strands that came out in between healthy hairs, those are the ones. You’ll want to cut them off.

How To Prevent Split Ends?

The simplest way to accomplish this is to reduce the usage of heating tools—hair dryers, straightener, curling irons, you name it. We suggest you replace them with much safer alternatives such as heat-protective hair products. Some heat protection products only protect against hair dryer heat and not straighteners or curling irons, so be sure to get the one that works for both. Oh, another point, please also look at the way you wear your hair. Tight ponytails are actually the worst (Sorry Ariana Grande, but it’s the truth), especially when elastic bands or headbands with a metal section snag the hair. Opt for silk crunchies or plastic spiral ties instead, which are gentler on the hair and leave it kink-free after removal. Then comes the hair washing. When hair is wet, it is more prone to breakage, so take extra precautions. Strengthening shampoo formulas are essential in this situation. Look for products that contain fortifying ingredients (such as amino acids) as well as softening extracts to keep hair smooth and healthy.

How To Hide Split Ends?

The best way to hide your split ends problem is to use oils, serums or creams. These are the MVP products when it comes to sealing away your split ends. Offering them a more nourishing appearance. They can be used as emergency products, let’s say if you have a big event coming up and you have no time to fix our split ends problem. These products will do their job well enough to seal what needs to be sealed. Here’s another trick, if you want to straighten your hair and use any oil hair product at the same time, we suggest you straighten them first then only you layered it with an oil. If you put the oil before any heating tools, then be ready to be greeted with a burnt hair look. Seriously, ew. In short, you just be pan-frying your hair.
