Finally some good news for the Rihanna Navy and Fenty Beauty lovers. We love some good news, especially during this pandemic. However, this news does not really come as a surprise to fans as some noticed that she filed a trademark for “Fenty Skin” last March with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

It is said that the Fenty Skin line covers “medicated and non-medicated skincare, soap, body care and personal care products (excluding colour cosmetics, perfume and other fragrance-only products, as well as related accessories such as tools, kits and applicators”.

The Love On The Brain singer confirmed this news in the latest issue of British Vogue. She said “Skincare, it’s the truth. It either works or it doesn’t. There’s nowhere to hide”. She also mentions that she is striving to achieve the same level of quality and perfection with Fenty Skin as she did with her makeup brand, Fenty Beauty.

However, Rihanna has not mentioned or set a date of when Fenty Skin is set to launch, but the article does mention that it will be launching imminently.

Also, in the same interview, the founder of Fenty Beauty & Savage X Fenty, has mentioned that she takes control of every product and everything that Fenty Beauty releases. Right from the shade names of each and every product to the marketing copy. She told Vogue “Oh yeah! I write all of the copy for the websites, the products names, descriptions and the colour names”.

When asked why she mentions that she does have a huge team working on the brand but she does not think their tone is hers. She adds “I’d feel like fraud selling something that I can’t stand by”.

Aside from that, during this pandemic outbreak, Rihanna’s nonprofit: Clara Lionel Foundation donated an amount of $5 million to multiple organizations that are working hand in hand to stop the spread of Covid-19. With that, New York Governor: Andrew Cuomo publicly thanked Rihanna in a tweet for her donation of the Personal Protective Equipment to the state of New York.
