As the month of June as arrived, many retailers are bound to set up their online stores with the colours of the Pride Flag. In some cases, some organisations will donate a portion of their revenue to support the LGBTQ+ organisations out there, and that is truly delightful to hear!

As June is pride month, when the month comes to an end, the support also pretty much comes to an end too. Also, here’s a little bit about why Pride Month is in June:

The month of June was chosen for the LGBTQ to commemorate the Stonewall riots, that happened at the end of June in the year 1969. As a result of that, many pride events are held during the month of June in accordance with recognising the impacts the LGBTQ community have in the world today.

However, NYX Professional Makeup recognised that most organisations end that support at the end of June and decided to make a difference by launching their latest campaign.

As of the 26th of May, NYX collaborated with the Los Angeles LGBT centre to launch the #ProudAlliesForAll campaign. This campaign aims to train the masses on how to be an LGBTQ+ ally, which is something we definitely need throughout the year.

Yann Joffredo, the global brand president at NYX Professional Makeup said “NYX Professional Makeup has always stood for both inclusivity and community and it is absolutely important for the brad to use its platform to celebrate the community that has a big part of who we are today. Also, the brand has had a longstanding commitment to all the LGBTQ+ community and proudly champions self-expression through artistry for all”.

Not only that, because most of us around the world are still quarantined, NYX’s Pride celebration and training programs will be offered online. They will kick this off with a virtual Pride march on the 1st of June 2020.

Additionally, for the first-of-its-kind virtual parade, the consumers will be encouraged to participate by posting pictures of themselves with the “Proud Allies” Instagram filter: Click here for the filter, while sharing who they are marching for. The filter is also available on the @nyxcosmetics Instagram page.

Now, for the highlight of the campaign: NYX is offering 3 brand new products to their colourful lineup of makeup collection, which is already available now!
