MAC will release Aaliyah inspired Makeup Collection for Summer 2018

Heads up 90’s kids, your favorite R&B star is collaborating with MAC for their Summer 2018 Collection.

From MAC’s official announcement last August that the brand would be dropping a Summer 2018 makeup collection in collaboration with R&B star Aaliyah, everyone is dying to get a sneak a peek at the new line. Aaliyah’s Instagram confirmed the 90s-glam @maccosmetics Aaliyah collection will be launched in North America on June 20th online, in-stores on June 21st and rolls out Internationally this Summer.

The actress and singer, known for her singing hits like “Are You That Somebody” and “Try Again” as well as her roles in films like Romeo Must Die and Queen of the Damned passed away in a tragic accident in 2001, but her legacy has lived on among her fans.

It also looks like MAC Cosmetics has come too strong with this packaging as the metallic wine lipstick bullet is just like Aaliyah’s music, mature and sexy. A silver Aaliyah signature is also a lovely touch for fans who never got the chance to get an autograph during the singer’s short life.

M.A.C also recently announced a casting call to create an “A-Z of Aaliyah” short film tied to the launch. To participate, fans just have to post a video or photo showing how Aaliyah inspired them using the hashtags #AtoZofAaliyah and #AaliyahforMAC.
