Selena Gomez, 28 shared that “Since the brand was launched, we wanted to find a way to give back to the community and further support people who needed help with mental health services, which has had a profound impact on my life”.

Check out how we shot the Past Life music video while still social distancing. This thing is called the Scan Truck. I stepped into it on my own and it scanned my face up close, which is why the music video looks so real! Sometimes technology and art are the perfect match.
It is said that one per cent of all Rare Beauty sales and the funds raised from partnerships cultivated with leading foundations, companies and nonprofit organisations will be donated to the Rare Impact Found. This is to provide tools, resources and support to those struggling with their mental health.
Selena adds “Rare Beauty is focused on helping people feel more connected to each other and less lonely in the world. The Rare Impact Fund will make a direct impact on many lives, and ultimately, make a difference in the world. I’m proud oft he work we’ve begun to do with our partners to provide mental health services to anyone who needs support”.
What’s more, is Rare Beauty has also elected expert advisors from some of the leading universities, organisations and companies focused on mental health to serve on the Rare Beauty Mental Health Council. The council members that are elected will then help the company arrive at decisions that will ensure maximum impact in underserved communities.
Additionally, Rare Beauty has announced this news on Instagram with a series of slides explaining the Rare Impact Fund, the goal and the aim of launching it.
The caption of the Instagram post wrote: “Together we are better, and because we know we cannot do this alone, we have established the Rare Beauty Mental Health Council comprised of leading mental health experts and professionals with lived experience to help steer our impact efforts”.

Our goal with the Rare Impact Fund is to raise an ambitious $100 million over the next 10 years to help increase access to mental health resources. How? Starting with our very first sale, 1% of annual Rare Beauty sales will go directly to the Rare Impact Fund. But that's not all. We're committed to raising funds with numerous philanthropic partners to reach our goal. The Rare Impact Fund will help support the local, national, and global organizations that have a direct impact on the well-being of this amazing community. Together, we are better, and because we know we can’t do this alone, we’ve established the Rare Beauty Mental Health Council comprised of leading mental health experts and professionals with lived experience to help steer our impact efforts.
