It feels so good to be able to enjoy the glacial clay masks at the comfort of my home. I particularly love the Organic Wild Lavender Hydrosol because I can use it anytime and anywhere. It is handy and multi-functional to use as toner, face mist or to mix it with the clay mask for added moisture! Moreover, it can be used for newborns as well! Given the current situation where we have to wear masks everyday, my skin becomes more prone to clogged pores. Thus, it is important to have a good facial routine at home. I am glad to be introduced to this set for a better skin treatment!

Received this sample and been using it The A For Apothecary set comes with 4 wonderful items inside. 2 types of Detoxify Clay Masks, Organic Wild Lavender Hydrosol and Rose Glow Elixir. Out of all these four, Rose Hip Glow Elixir is the one I love the most. I've been trying a few product to keep mask acne away, and I finally found one. It comes in oil form but it absorbs pretty quickly on my face. Just put a drop or two and massage it on your face for a few minutes. It also has a nice pleasant smell ? Enjoying the goodness of Glacial Clay(one of the purest clay) at the comfort at my home. The clay comes in powder form, making it very easy to mix. A spoonful of the mask combined with two to three spoon of water. I love the green one, which contains Norwegian Kelp. It helps to remove impurities from our skin. Organic Wild Lavender Hydrosol helps soothe and hydrate your skin from dullness and tiredness.

When I first opened the bottles, I was stunned that it’s in powder form and not ready clay mix. At the start, I was clueless and blindly mixed a lot of water to the powder. It took me a few tries before I finally got the proportion right. My tip for users: Do not mix too much powder at one go as it dries up pretty fast. I was in a cold room when I did the mask and it dried up too quickly. Btw, I added the hydrosol which makes the mask even more hydrating. As I’m not a fan of oily stuffs, I didn’t add much rose glow elixir to my mixture. I was afraid it’d make the mask too oily for my liking. After some days of using, I figured out using the oil by itself might be better. In fact, I ended up looking forward to apply this on my face and hands. Not only does it dry up pretty fast, it is not greasy and is works just as good as the clay mask + so much less hassle. My face looks brighter after each use of the mask. Although the masks are good, it is a hassle for me who’s not so patient. In the end, I’m surprised that I actually love the face oil so much more!

Organic Wild Lavender Hydrosol : Totally love this one as I feel instantly refreshed after spraying it , I also feel relaxed and calm inhaling the wild lavender scent. Rose Glow Elixir face oil: This face oil is fast absorbing and non-greasy. My skin feels moisturised after applying. The Detoxify and Nourish Clay Mask : comes in powder form, activate powder with water to form a smooth paste and apply to clean skin. Rinse off before mask completely dries off. Although it is cumbersome to mix the powder with water, powder form is a better choice as I have other clay masks that dries off too quickly before I finish using the whole tub. Skin feels very smooth after using the masks!

The Detoxify and Nourish Clay Masks come in powder form. It needs to be mixed with either water or the Organic Wild Lavender Hydrosol to form a smooth paste. I added 3 drops of Rose Glow Elixir Face Oil into the paste as well. After applying the mask, wait for it to dry up before rinsing it off with warm water. The mask dried up quite fast unlike other brands I had tried in the past. After rinsing it off, my face feels soft and smooth! The Organic Wild Lavender Hydrosol can be used as a toner or a face mist to helps soothe and keep our face hydrated throughout the day or when feeling tired. Not to forget, the wonderful Rose Glow Elixir Face Oil! It is a botanical blend of organic cold-pressed plant oils (Oat Lipid E, Rosehip seed, Sea Buckthorn, Calendula and Rosemary). It contains omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9. Unlike other facial oils in the market, Rose Glow Elixir is fast absorbing and helps to keep the skin feeling moist after use. It is suitable for people with sensitive skin as it helps to balance the skin hormones, leaving the skin feeling soothe!

It was my first experience with a powder form mask, making it yourself is definitely a different, fun experience. It may seem a bit daunting at first but it is super easy to make the mask with water. Once the mask has been applied, and left to work its magic for about 10 - 15 mins, simply wash off with warm water. You instantly feel your skin is rejuvenated and your skin is softer. The best part of a powder form DIY mask is you can really tailor it to suit your skin type and problem area, after using this product a few times I experimented with different ‘recipes’, my favourite so far is the addition of 1 tablespoon of honey to combat blemishes and really brighten your skin. A store bought mask is definitely a simpler root but this powdered clay mask is worth the extra few minutes to enjoy a natural, tailor-made facial experience in your own home!
