Tips for applying lip balm
You should apply lip balm as often as possible! Lips can dry out because of lipsticks, weather, and habits like licking the lips. Some lip products (like matte lipsticks, lip stains and long-wear lipsticks) are particularly drying, too!
Apply balm at least three times a day. To remind yourself to reapply, keep several jars or balms in convenient places. For example, keep one in your office desk, another in your bag, and one on your bedside table.
There are many tinted lip balms, but you can also DIY one! Just slice off a bit of your favorite lipstick and microwave until melted. Let it cool, add some lip balm, and transfer to a small jar.
Lip plumper products have been around for a long time, but they became super trendy because of celebrities like Kylie Jenner.
Lip plumpers temporarily make your lips look fuller and bigger. They contain mild irritants like methol, cinnamon or capsicum that make blood rush to the surface. Your lips will swell slightly – just enough to give you a sexy pout.
It’s normal to feel some tingling, but discontinue any lip plumper if you experience any burning, itching, or discomfort that doesn’t go away after a few seconds. While lip plumpers are safe, you may be sensitive to an ingredient.
