As someone with acne-prone skin, finding the perfect toner or lotion can be difficult. I’m always afraid that every new product I try will cause pimples to take over my face. Hence, I’ve learnt to differentiate the ingredients that irritate my skin. So when I saw the Aqua Label White Care Lotion, I made sure to do a ton of research. After proclaiming it was safe for me, I decided to give it a try. And here is what I think.

Shiseido Aqua Label White Care Lotion

 Aqua Label White Care Lotion

The Shiseido Aqua Label White Care Lotion is sort of in between a serum and a toner. This lotion is popular for offering brightening properties. It can penetrate deep into your skin barrier and help prevent spots. Moreover, it is said to be great for removing dead skin cells while absorbing quickly into the skin. Aside from that, it also offers two different options according to your skin type. Moist is suitable for normal to dry skin and if you’re hoping for a smooth and rich texture. If you have super dry skin, then pick up the Rich Moist option which offers much more moisturising properties. With an extensive list of ingredients, it packs a whole lot of moisture and brightening power. Its main ingredients consist of Tranexamic Acid, a Vitamin C Derivative and Glycerin.

The packaging comes in a 200ml dark blue bottle that definitely reminds you of water and the ocean. With such a huge bottle, this lotion can last for a few months. The cap is easy enough to snap open and close as well. So if you are an ASMR freak, you’ll find satisfaction in snapping the cap open and closing it every time!

My Thoughts

 Aqua Label White Care Lotion

I bought the Aqua Label White Care Lotion on a whim when in Japan because what’s the one thing you should buy when in Japan? Makeup and skincare! Hence, I was frantically searching online, on YouTube and even TikTok to find all the best skincare products Japan had to offer. After stumbling upon a few recommendations for the Aqua Label White Care Lotion, I decided to give it a go. Once I saw the price for it in Japan, I was pleasantly surprised that it was much cheaper than it would’ve been in Malaysia. So if you’re ever in Japan, make sure to cross-check your products and see if there’s a better deal to snag.

Once I started using the Aqua Label White Care Lotion, I didn’t see much difference in my skin other than the dewy glow it gave me right after apply iting. I have to say that since I have oily skin, I wasn’t sure if it would dry me out. Surprisingly it didn’t! Moreover, it is also very refreshing to apply after a clean shower. I usually use a dime-size amount and pat it all over my face. Aside from that, I’m also quite thankful that it didn’t break me out and irritate my skin. So that’s a win in my book! Now, I use it regularly at night as a toner before my moisturiser. It’s also effortless and smooth to apply thanks to its silky, watery texture. After applying it to my face, I usually do a few face massages while the product is still wet on my skin. Besides, I’m not sure if it actually helps with brightening my skin either so for me, the Aqua Label White Care Lotion is somewhere in the middle.

Should You Get This?

So, should you be getting the Shiseido Aqua Label White Care Lotion? If you’re in Japan, I’d recommend getting it because the price is definitely worth how much product you get. If not, I think you can pass on it. Aside from being a comfortable moisturiser that could be great for doing gua sha facial massages, I’m sure there are much better options out there.

So, I’m rating it a 3.5 stars out of 5 stars. But if you’re interested in trying this out for yourself, here are a few places to get this lotion!
