  1. Eucerin AtoControl Body lotion

Eucerin, a brand known for eczema sufferers but wait, it’s also meant for dry, chapped, irritated skin as well from sweat? Yes!   Especially the body lotion which could help from top to bottom but as always the case, protective skincare isn’t worth the hype because they’re like skin medicine right? Wrong. 1. Kiehl’s Blue Astringent Herbal Lotion

This toner is one of my lemmings from Kiehl’s. It was used for razor cuts and burns back in the day when toners aren’t important as part of the beauty regime. The Blue Algae line is specifically created for oily and blemish– prone skin. The blue skin care line is made up of Sodium PCA, Salicylic Acid, and blue algae herbal extracts: the perfect recipe to combat acne. Even it’s was rumoured that Andy Warhol uses this for his skin. What makes a toner different from an astringent? In terms of composition, they’re the same but astringents also come in medicated forms, while toners can be used sans the prescription of physicians. Both can be chemical or alcohol- based. It gives you the clean feeling after use, may some feel it’s too dry and get irritated but after a while it’s cooling and chilly and tingling sensation which is taken place by menthol. The dryness is just an initial effect which may be caused by the Aluminum Chlorohydrate. But don’t fret because the dryness goes away after a while. It also has Witch Hazel extract that helps tone skin.

The astringent takes away the excess oil on the surface and keeps skin visibly matte. Perfect for oily skin types before using makeup. Less oil means minimal pores clogging and it helps to maintain skin natural moisture. However, this is not meant for eczema sufferers due to the fact alcohol will cause more skin trouble!
