My First Impressions on the Ulike Sapphire Air 3 IPL Hair Removal Handset

When I first received the Ulike Sapphire Air3 IPL Hair Removal Handset, I was really happy with how easy the step-by-step instructions were to understand. The treatment schedule was laid out very clearly, and it was easy to choose the power level that I wanted. They recommend using the first level for the first few treatments. The device also came with a pair of goggles for my eyes to protect them, as well as a power adapter. I had never used an at-home laser hair removal device before, so I made sure to do a patch test flash on my arm to see if I had any adverse reactions. Although I expected it, I was still pleasantly surprised to see that it didn’t hurt at all, and that the flash really did feel cold! However, my skin got a little red after my first use, but I found that as I used the device more, my skin got used to it and it no longer gets red.

The Results: Why Didn’t I Get This Sooner?

I followed Ulike’s recommended treatment schedule, which is using the device every other day for the first two weeks, and then decreasing it to twice a week for week three and four, and then I can just use the device whenever I need a touch-up! It was really easy to follow, and because the device is so easy to use, each session only lasted me about 10 minutes to treat my whole body.

The shape of the device was nice to hold, and I especially liked the fact that it will automatically flash when it comes to full contact with the skin, so I didn’t have to keep pressing any buttons. It’s also really light and had an easy grip, so it was really easy to hold and glide around my body.

After the first two weeks of treatment, I noticed that there was a lot less hair to shave, and barely any peach fuzz. After the fourth week, I didn’t have to shave at all before the treatment, and my peach fuzz stopped growing! Now, I just do a weekly maintenance treatment, and my skin has never been smoother.

Since testing out, I’ve been really happy with the results. I don’t need to shave anymore, and I love the fact that it’s portable, so I can bring it along with me on my travels. This is because all laser machines target pigment, which means that not only will it target the pigment of the hair, there is also a risk of burning the pigment in the skin, too. This also means that it will only work on darker hair because dark hair has more pigment than light hair. You should always apply sunscreen to the treated areas after the session as well, as the skin will become more sensitive.

You may also experience some redness after your first session, just like how I did. However, it’s such a minor issue that I feel like I can overlook it as it didn’t hurt, and my skin got more used to the flashes with each session.
