According to Barbara Lavernos, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, who is in charge of Research, Innovation and Technology, “Our century-long, deep experience and leadership in haircoloration has allowed our researchers, data scientists and Tech engineers to completely revisit and reinvent the haircoloring experience for both: at home with Colorsonic, a unique user-designed re-usable device allowing a precise vibrant result of haircoloration, and for hair stylists with Coloright, the most personalized and advanced experience in hair salons to achieve desired haircolor results anywhere in the world. L’Oréal’s BeautyTech leadership allows us to push the boundaries of tech multiplied by science for breakthroughs in more personalized, inclusive and sustainable beauty experiences.

The Colorsonic by L’Oréal is developed based on the consumer’s feedback over the course of five years. Since the pandemic hit the majority of the people turned to at-home hair colouring sessions. However, the process is proven difficult and messy for the consumer. With Colorsonic, it only takes five easy steps for the users to colour their hair at home. This handheld device features custom mixer technology to combine and dispense the hair colour through the oscillating nozzle bristles.

There are over 40 shades of hair colour kits available on the Colorsonic website and the order will be shipped directly to the home. The Colorsonic is super easy to use, simply insert the colour cartridge into the device and brush your hair starting from the roots to ends. For those with long hair types, an attachment is also included for easy application. Once you have evenly applied the colour to every hair section, leave for 30 minutes before rinsing your hair thoroughly. You can remove the cartridge and store the remaining colour whenever you need to touch up.
