In honour and support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, we’ve put together a fresh pink everyday makeup tutorial just for you!

Breast Cancer Awareness Fresh Pink Makeup Tutorial

Here at Beauty Insider Singapore, we believe that no one should have to fight breast cancer alone. So to show our support for Pinktober this month, here is a fresh pink makeup look that’s fuss-free and suitable for everyday wear. Watch the full tutorial here!

Fresh glowing skin

First, it’s important to start this look with a good base. To keep the skin looking dewy and radiant, we recommend using cream and liquid textures. Since we will be using pink tones in this makeup look, it’s important to even out your complexion and eliminate any underlying redness with a high coverage foundation. Next, conceal any blemishes and darkness your eyes with a concealer or another layer of your high coverage foundation. Then, apply a liquid illuminator onto the high points of your face like the top of your cheekbones for a glowy effect. Finally, set your T-zone with a translucent powder to keep that area shine-free.

Pink everything!

Now, it’s time for the pink part of the makeup tutorial. Using a multifunctional pink cream colour blush or lipstick of your choice, apply the product onto your cheeks and lips using fingers. Then, diffuse and blend out the colour with the warmth of your fingertips. Additionally, you can take the same pink shade and apply it onto your eyelids for a pretty pop of pink.

Define your features

Next up, it’s time to define your features and add depth and dimension to your face. First, take your bronzer or contouring powder of choice and sculpt your cheekbones and jawline for some subtle definition. A great tip is to start sculpting from your ear and stopping right under the end of your brow to create a natural shadow there. Then, take a brown eyeshadow powder and massage it onto the outer crease of your eyes with a fluffy brush. By creating a shadow on your crease, you’re making your eyes appear more defined and awake. Lastly, don’t forget to define your brows, curl your eyelashes and apply plenty of mascara for extra definition. Also, you can add a touch of glittery pink liquid eyeshadow onto the center of your eyelids for an extra touch of sparkle.

You can use any makeup products you have on hand for this look, but we’ve shared the links to the products in the video’s description box if you’re interested!

Early detection of breast cancer can save your life

In addition, we want to take this opportunity to remind you to get a breast examination regularly. As early detection can save lives, it is important to periodically check for lumps or irregularities at home. Alternatively, you can get a thorough screening done via a mammogram at a nearby women’s health clinic.

Show your support at the Singapore Cancer Society

Also, you can visit the Singapore Cancer Society’s official website to learn more about breast cancer and support those on the road to recovery. All donations to the Singapore Cancer Society will go into funding cancer treatment subsidies, rehabilitation programs, welfare assistance, hospice care, cancer research, free cancer screenings and public education initiatives.

The road to recovery is not an easy one. Whether it’s raising awareness on social media or volunteering in a cancer welfare assistance campaign, every little bit we do counts. No one should ever have to fight cancer alone, and together, we can make a difference.
