Just when I thought the brains behind the creation of every beauty collection couldn’t go any further—I was wrong. Hey, have you ever taken a leisure walk around the mall, and somehow you stumbled across a cute foreign shop where they sell literally everything that are based on movies, cartoons characters and just an array of adorable and unique stuff—and when you discovered further into the shop you will be greeted with another jaw-dropping lines of makeup collections that are based on a specific cartoon series? 

Yeah, we’re talking about the famous red-and-white Japanese inspired lifestyle retailer that you could find in almost every mall in the Asian country. Famously known as Miniso. And not only that, they always have these super mesmerizing beauty collections displayed in the middle of their shop—changing from time to time. But what caught our attention the most is the We Bare Bears makeup collection. P/s: I’m holding my breath while I’m typing this. 

If you haven’t heard (or watched), We Bare Bears, seriously where have you been hiding all this time? The cartoon series is owned by the Cartoon Network Company, centered around three adoptive bear brothers; Grizzly, Panda and Ice Bear, navigating their awkward attempts at integrating with the human world, located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Now that we got your attention, checkout Beauty Insider’s treasure behind these adorable, unbelievable, one of a kind beauty collections from Miniso! 

Get To Know, We Bare Bears

To anyone who says that there’s a specific age limit when it comes to watching a cartoon series, you are very very wrong. Personally, I am not a huge cartoon fan myself, but this We Bare Bears series got me hooked ever since I started watching the first episode. And as mentioned before, what makes this cartoon super relatable to me (and everyone else) is because their main theme centered around ‘’an awkward attempt to be accepted in a society full of judgemental people who only see what’s on the outside.’’ So, in short these three bear brothers are trying their hardest to adapt with the human world but the human world itself is a mess. Get it? Told you, this series is worth the watch. Anyway, this cartoon is owned by one of the biggest cartoon production, Cartoon Network, but you could also catch this series at a third-party streamer, Netflix. Have fun watching!

The Japanese, Korean Makeup Line

Now that we’ve covered the summary behind the cartoon series—let’s take a walk down behind the productions of numerous adorable beauty lines manufactured by Japanese and or Korean stores. Okay, first and foremost, bear in mind that not all products or items you find at Japanese and Korean retailers like Miniso or Spao are hundred percent owned by them, some of the collections are based on a collaboration with different companies. Let’s take a look at the mega collection Miniso has ever released (and often sold out), the none other, Marvel Collection. This line-up is actually a collaboration between Miniso and Marvel themself, but Miniso were able to pull it off perfectly and most of the items in the collection are always out of the shelves. So, you see the impact? They promised to deliver only the best and, the best only. 

And so when we discovered this We Bare Bears makeup collection—which you can only get your hands on at Miniso and Spao, we can’t help but to wonder… Are they trustworthy? Are they guaranteed to be safe to use? What kind of ingredients do they incorporate into the products? Ugh, there’s a hundred different annoying questions that start to pop out around my head. And of course, if you know us, you know we’d do everything it takes to dig the whole information out when it comes to beauty stuff. And here’s what we discovered. 

The Makeup Lineups

Now, onto the best part. I know you are all giddy about this one. What to expect for this makeup collection? Which item is available? How good are they texture-wise? So on and so forth, so here we are revealing them to you; There are primers, blush palettes, lip tint, lip balm, bb cushion, few face brushes and even an array of skincare products like sheet masks and hand creams. For the brush palettes, you can use them as an eyeshadow base as well, the texture is so multiversal, so feel free to navigate them as you like. When it comes to packaging-wise, I tried to find the best alternative to replace the words ‘’adorable or cute’’, but there are no words available to prove how aesthetically-pleasing-super-endearing the packaging looks! Because honestly how can you say no to these wrapping? All of the items came with their own name, dedicated to each of the We Bare Bears characters. 

The Colours & Texture

Since We Bare Bears are led by three different main characters; Grizzly, Panda and Ice Bear, and as mentioned earlier, each item represents three characters—so you can expect three different shades for each cosmetic item. For starters, the blush came with three aptly-shades which are Ice Bear Red, Panda Pink and Grizzly Coral. Which are very pigmented and highlighting, by the way. Next, for lip tint, expect tinted, matte and very thick liquid, also in three different shades which are soft pink, bright red and soft coral—same goes to their lip balm. However, here’s the bummer part, the BB cushion foundation is very limited in shades, and since they’re maintaining the ‘’three’’ concept, they only provide three different colours which is White, Natural and Beige. Um, yes, that’s a problem ain’t it? 

So we suggest you might want to add and combine with your other BB cushion of your choice to naturalize with natural skin tones. Anyhow, like the rest of other products, this BB cushion is also infused with SPF50++, they’ll protect your skin from those dangerous UV rays, you don’t have to worry about sensitivity or inflammation concerns. But if you’re worried about exposing your skin to random makeup products, why not try their sheet mask? Infused with skin elastin properties like Aloe Vera, Citrus and many others, how can you resist these cuties, though? You can rock these face sheet masks while watching We Bear Bare marathon on Netflix!

The Ingredients Used 

When it comes to cosmetic lines, one thing about them Korean and Japanese collection, is that they always delivered. You know you could always count on them when it comes to skincare lines—especially for Asian women like us. This is because they always make sure to incorporate the best ingredients into their creation. We’re talking skin boosters, hydration, moisturize, and oily control products. So best believe that we really don’t have any problems trying these adorable We Bare Bears makeups. But if you’re still concerned about their ingredients, worry not. Here’s what we managed to find. 

Their products were made with 100% skin-friendly elements. And interestingly, they’re free from any chemicals like Paraben, Phthalates, Artificial Fragrance and Formaldehyde that could ruin the appearance of your skin. And another interesting point, you’ll love this one; most of the We Bare Bears makeup line contains the powerful SPF50++. See! Told you we could count on them.

Since they’re in collaboration with Miniso and Spao—which are known to be an affordable store to many—the price came as low as SGD21! Ahh, we’re hogging the cart now. Affordable, adorable and unbelievably mesmerizing.
